The High School Lady Bears opened their regular season last night on the road at Lafayette High School in St. Joe. The girls battled hard but came up just short! They’re back in action Monday, December 1st, at 9:00 pm in the Warsaw Tournament.

JH Bears and Lady Bears fought hard tonight! Every team except A Boys came up short, but the A Boys pulled off a thriller against a tough Pleasant Hill squad. Way to go, Bears! On to Oak Grove tomorrow!

Our Competitors of the Week for 11/17/25–11/30/25 are Tandee Hiser and Kamden Fennewald!
Both athletes earned All-State honors after already receiving Conference and District recognition, showcasing their outstanding athletic ability and consistent performance.
Night in and night out, these two were on the floor as true cornerstones of the Lady Bears program. Their dedication, leadership, and competitive drive set the tone for our team all season long.
Exceptional work, ladies — we appreciate your contributions to the program!

FREE Annual Thanksgiving Dinner – Community Invitation
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to share information about our community’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, taking place next week. This event provides a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone in Bates County who would like one. Meals may be delivered to your home, picked up and taken to-go, or enjoyed in person at the Butler Senior Center
Meal Delivery: Delivery will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Deliveries are available throughout Bates County. For the safety of our volunteers, please ensure all dogs are secured beginning at 10:30 a.m. until your delivery arrives.
Meal Pick-Up: Pick-up will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Butler Senior Center.
Dine-In Option: Guests may begin seating at 12:00 p.m. The serving line will open at 1:00 p.m.
Meal Reservations: The final day to reserve a delivered or pick-up meal is Monday, November 24, by 5:00 p.m. After this date, meals may still be received, but only by visiting the Butler Senior Center in person to dine in or pick up.
Each meal includes: Choice of turkey or ham, mashed potatoes and gravy or sweet potato casserole, corn or seasoned green beans, dressing, cranberry sauce, roll and butter, and choice of pumpkin pie or apple pie.
Community members—including students ages 12 and older—are invited to volunteer as: Delivery drivers, Kitchen helpers, Runners
Donations: Food or monetary donations may be dropped off at the Carpenter Cup or provided directly to Judge Julie Highley.
To Reserve a Meal or Volunteer - Please call 660-679-3333.
Remember: The last day to order is Monday, November 24, by 5:00 p.m!!!

The Butler FFA invites you to attend the FFA Fall Banquet on November 20th at 7PM in the BHS Cafeteria. Please bring desserts to celebrate our accomplishments thus far in the school year!
