  • Announcement of School Board Vacancy

The Butler R-V School District is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Larry Anderson.  The individual selected will serve on the Board of Education from the date of appointment to the annual organizational meeting of the Board of Education following the April 2018 election.

According to Section 162.291, RSMo, applicants for the Board vacancy must be a citizen of the United States, a resident taxpayer of the district, a resident of Missouri for one year next preceding the election, and 24 years of age.  They must be current on all state income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes and real property taxes on the candidate’s residence.  They must be free of certain criminal convictions.  All board members, whether elected or appointed, are required to complete 16 hours of training within one year of the date of election or appointment.

Any district patron who wishes to be considered may send a letter of interest stating their reasons for wishing to fill the vacated Board seat to School Board President, Brad Stephens at 300 South Delaware, Butler, MO 64730.
