  • September 26

The Lady Bears hosted Harrisonville Thursday afternoon and we could not have asked for better weather. Senior Kiley Foster improved her previous home score by two strokes.  Freshman Gracee Lesmeister shot a new PR for nine holes with a 61. Senior Lanie Kauffman didn’t have her best night but was still able to score as top individual at the match shooting a 50. The Lady Bears have a busy homecoming week with hosting the conference tournament and two more matches next week.

  • September 20 & 23

The Lady Bears traveled to Frank E Peters Golf Course in Nevada on Friday and Sedalia Country Club yesterday to compete in tournaments.  On Friday there were eight schools in attendance and our girls faced some good competition. Lanie Kauffman shot a 98 and was 7th overall individual.  Her score does not reflect the determination she showed on the back 9 by cutting off 12 strokes from her front 9 score. Gracee Lesmeister shot a PR on Friday with a 127.  On Monday, the girls played Sedalia Country Club a course they had never played before. Lanie Kauffman led the team with a score of 101. We are excited to play a match at home this Thursday against Harrisonville.

  • At Carthage

On Monday, September 16, the Lady Bears traveled to Carthage for their first tournament of the season. Freshman Gracee Lesmeister turned it up and played her best golf thus far. She improved ger score by several stroke. Senior Lanie Kauffman played a solid round and was a top ten medalist at the tournament. She is continuing to improve on several aspects of her game and shot a new PR of 92.

  • The Butler Lady Bears hosted Stockton yesterday afternoon in their first home match of the season.  The Lady Tigers won the match with a team score of 231. Lanie Kauffman tied for top individual overall shooting a 46.  We think all of the girls learned more about their game yesterday and the importance of mental toughness. We hope to make improvements next week at our first tournament of the year in Carthage on Monday.

  • Lanie

The Butler Lady Bears traveled to Country Creek Golf Club yesterday for their first match of the season against Pleasant Hill and Harrisonville. Lanie Kauffman led the team last night shooting a career-best 42 and tied for top individual overall. Even though unable to score as a team, each of the girls met some personal goals. The Lady Bears play their first home match Monday against Stockton at 4:00 pm.
