Eldo Conference Championships
The cross country team traveled to El Dorado Springs on Tuesday for the Ozark Highlands Conference Championships. El Do's course is one of the tougher ones we see in the season, but many of the runners competed well. This was also the junior high teams last race of the season and they went out with a bang! All 4 JH runners earned All-Conference (Top 10)!!!! On the high school side, Carter Trumbore earned All-Conference as well!!! Next up the HS team head's back to El Do on Tuesday for our final regular season race before heading to districts in two weeks.

Hermitage
The cross country team traveled to Hermitage to run the dam hill at Pomme de Terre on Saturday, September 26. This is typically no place to set a PR, but there were still some good times and a couple medalists. Plus, we had a full HS boys team for the first time this season!

The high school and junior high cross country teams traveled to Bolivar on Saturday for their first meet of the season at the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association Richard Clark Invitational. It was perfect conditions for a race and many of the runners showed that through their performance. This was also the first ever meet for our new junior high program! Korry Davis and Carter Trumbore medaled in their races, Jakaila Rolph set a new career PR, and Carter Trumbore broke the high school 5k record with an 18:50, previously set by Patrick Bell with a 19:11 in 2018!!
A big thank you to Doug Lawrence for live streaming the meet on Prepcast! No fans were allowed at the meet and you would not believe the number of thank you's we have received from parents, coaches and athletes for making this happen. It was such an eerie feeling missing an additional 3000 people there running around to cheer on all the runners, but we're glad people were able to see a little bit of it from home. Also, to the Bolivar coach, Ron Bandy, for putting on a great meet. He has always done a great job in the past, but with the conditions and setup required from their health department for the first major meet of the year, it was fantastic!
Next up we travel to Nevada on Friday, September 11 for the Cottey College Twilight Invitational. First race starts at 5:00 pm.

Then on Saturday, September 19 we traveled to Clinton with ideal conditions to run in which resulted in a number of PRs.
Next up we head to Hermitage to run the Dam Hill on Saturday, September 26. Fingers crossed everyone on the team will finally be able to run at the same race!
